1.The Darmstaedter Echo ran two significant articles about the School: These articles are the most important source along with numerous pictures that Samuel M. Batalion kept about the School.
One article was printed on September 13, 1947 at the beginning of the activities of the School and the second article appeared on December 9,1947 the official Opening Ceremony of the School. |
2. Diary of the ruling president in Darmstadt (Regierungspraesidenten) Prof. Ludwig Bergstraesser in his (His name was mentioned in the Darmstaedter Echo) :
Friday June 18 1948
"Sitzung wegen Unterbringung des bizonalen Instituts zur Foerderung akustischen und optischen Unterrichts. Die moechte man haben. Wir schlugen den alten Main-Neckar Bahnhof vor, wo die juedische Fachschule wahrscheinlich ueberdies bald hinauszieht."

"Die von Samuel Batalion in Zusammenarbeit mit der neugegruendeten Gemeinde eingerichtete Fachschule organisierte Fortbildungskurse fuer juengere juedische D.P.s zur Vorbereitung auf die Auswanderung." |

4. Echkardt G. Franz, the editor of "Juden als Darmstaedter Buerger" included in his book an article by Moritz Neumann "Danach... Zur Geschichte der juedischen Gemeinde n Darmstadt set 1945" where he hints about the school but refrains from mention it. |
5. Almost all the publications about the Jews in Darmstadt after 1945 mention the Juedische Fachschule. Yet, they all write almost an identical paragraph. |
6. The School is mentioned in material found in the Jabotinsky Archives in Tal Aviv about the Betar movement in Germany after 1945. |
